Zilla M. Mallein, 79, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at home.  She was born on March 17, 1942, in Delhi, New York and was a daughter of the late Merwin and Catherine Kirk.

Zilla was licensed beautician.  She owned and operated the Hoyaux Hair Salon on West High Street in Carlisle for many years.  After retirement, Zilla worked part-time at the Carlisle Wal-Mart.

She is survived by one son Kirk D. (wife, Angela) Mallein of Carlisle, one daughter Terry (husband, Trent) Hurley of Newville, five grandchildren, Aiden Mallein, Dylan Bair, Ashliegh Lenhart, Lauren (husband, Joseph Todaro), Libby Hurley and two great-grandchildren, Grayson Bair and Everett Todaro.
