Yvonne L. "Snookie" Bailey, 84, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at home with family by her side.  She was born on March 12, 1938, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Donald Smiley and Elma (Shearer) Smiley.

Yvonne worked several food preparation jobs in the area including the Specialty Bakery in Marysville.  She also worked several years at the Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg.

She is survived by one son Kenneth (Tina) Bailey of Elliottsburg, three daughters, Kay Benner of Shermans Dale, Donna Smith of Carlisle and Jean Bailey of Carlisle, three brothers, Donald Smiley of Shermans Dale, Lester "Buster" Smiley of New Bloomfield and John Smiley of Shermans Dale, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one sister Evelyn Kreiser, two brothers, Norman and Harold Smiley and one son-in-law Dale Benner.

A viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S.
