William C. Stickel, 82, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born on Wednesday, August 1, 1928, in Silver Spring Twp., a son of the late Harlan M. and Hazel I. (Myers) Stickel.

Bill retired after more than 42 years of service with the former G. C. Blosser Beverage Co., Carlisle. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Bill was a member of the Allison United Methodist Church, Carlisle and a life member of Eagles Aerie 1299 also of Carlisle.

Bill is survived by his brother, Donald L. Stickel, one sister, Betty S. (and her husband, John E.) Andrews and one niece, Krista L. (and her husband, Randy W.) Uplinger, all of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by one niece, Cynthia Sue Andrews.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Timothy A. Funk officiating. Private burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. There will be no viewing or visitation.
