William H. Martin, 74, of Carlisle, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Fox Subacute Management in Mechanicsburg. He was born Jan. 28, 1939, in Waynesboro, a son of the late Alvin and Madaline (Kauffman) Martin.

Bill retired from the former C. H. Masland & Sons (Lear Corp.), Carlisle after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Block Hunting Camp in Clearfield County. Bill enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dolores M. (Woods) Martin, one son, Shawn W. Martin of Shippensburg, one step-daughter, Kathy M. (and husband, Jim) Murtorff of Harrisburg, one brother, Charles Martin of Shippensburg, one sister, Lois of Fayetteville, three grandchildren; Adrienne (and husband, Jim) Burge, Zachary (and wife, Amanda) Deitch and Jordan (and wife, Dawn) Deitch, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services and burial will be private. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17111.
