Wilbur R. Gordon, Sr., 82, of Newville, died on Monday, June 2, 2025, at UPMC Carlisle.  He was born on September 20, 1942, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Halbert D. Gordon and Helen (Myers) Gordon Staver.  He was married to the late Nancy C. (Bigler) Gordon who passed away on February 20, 2024.

Wilbur served in the U. S. Navy from 1960 to 1963.  He retired from Coveralls Inc. in Mechanicsburg where he trained future franchise owners.  He was a former member of the Grace Baptist Church, Carlisle, and he and his late wife were members of the  Whirl-A-Ways Square Dancing Club.  He enjoyed and worked many years with Shuman Concessions and Smoothies at the Carlisle Car Shows.

He is survived by two sons, Wilbur Gordon, Jr. of Newville and Scott (Kristen) Gordon of Carlisle, one daughter Kimberly (Ryan) Bayne of North Carolina, one brother Richard Gordon of IL, one sister Betty Dorsey of Mount Holly Springs, eight grandchildren, Wilbur Gordon, III, Garrett Gordon, Tucker Gordon, Bailey Gordon, Taylor Gordon, Jordan (Samantha) Kyle, Bradley (Mackenzie) Kyle, and Nicolas Kyle, one great-grandson Jake Kyle and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his twin brother William Gordon and three sisters, June Shirley, Shirley Brehm and Gloria Green.
