Wayne R. Hefflefinger, 84, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Thornwald Nursing Home in Carlisle.  He was born on January 7, 1938, in Newville and was a son of the late John Calvin Hefflefinger and Loie May (Ott) Hefflefinger.

Wayne was a construction worker and had his own business doing home improvements.  He was the man you went to when you needed something fixed.  He enjoyed hunting and working in his shop when he was not spending time with his wife and family.  He was a member of Plainfield First Church of God.

He is survived by one daughter, Sondra (husband, Michael) Jumper of Boiling Springs, one son, Rodger Hefflefinger of Carlisle, three grandchildren; Nathaniel Jumper and Eric and Amanda Hefflefinger, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Mary E. (Whistler) Hefflefinger and all nine of his siblings, Ken, Evelyn, Ed, Miriam, Les, Clair, Velva, Dean and Lynn.

A private graveside service will be held at Westminster Memorial Gardens, 1159 Newville Rd., Carlisle, with Pastor Mark Ruzicka officiating.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
