Virginia was a 1938 graduate of Carlisle High School. She was a loving homemaker and had worked for 20 years as a floral designer with Georges' Flowers in Carlisle. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by two daughters; Sue Ann Watkins (and husband, Norman) of Lake In The Hills, IL and Peggy Jo Eisenhart (and husband, Steven) of Richmond, VA, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret A. Day.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Timothy W. Sadler officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 1 p.m. until time of service.
