IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Verna K.
"Kay" Lankford
August 22, 1966 – September 22, 2025
Verna "Kay" Lankford
August 22, 1966 – September 22, 2025
Verna "Kay" Lankford, 59, of Pennsylvania, formerly of Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 22, 1966, in Indiana, Kay was the daughter of the late Judith K. Frazo and Gary D. Frazo. She is survived by her beloved partner of many years, Robert C. Coyle. She is also survived by her children, Mike (Tara) Lankford, Matt Lankford, and Marc Lankford; her stepchildren, Bryon P. Keck, Courtney (Shayne) Golden, and Robert W. Coyle; her brothers, Roger (Pam) Beam and Gary Frazo; her sister, Kelly (Randy) Revetta; and her cherished grandchildren, Chase and Nevaeh Lankford, and Ruby and Lily Golden. Along with her sweet grand-dogs, Ryder and Chase.
Kay worked as a CNA at Green Ridge Village and Thornwald, where she cared for others with the same kindness and compassion she showed in every part of her life. She had a gift for making people feel loved and valued.
Family was everything to Kay. She found joy in cooking Friday night family dinners, baking desserts, and decorating cakes that brightened every celebration. She adored her "grandbabies," who brought her endless happiness. Kay loved her loyal dog, Bug, enjoyed playing Bingo, and always found ways to bring people together for little celebrations.
Christmas was her favorite time of year. She built a magical Christmas village each season and had enough fun and festive sweaters to wear a new one every day of December. Her love of the holiday perfectly captured her spirit of joy, warmth, and generosity.
She will be remembered for her radiant smile, her selflessness, and the way she always found reasons to celebrate life. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and laughter will live on in the many lives she touched.
A private service will be held by her family. In honor of Kay's generous and loving spirit, the family encourages everyone to share a meal with loved ones, play a game of Bingo, wear a festive Christmas sweater or bake something sweet in her memory.
