Thelma attended and received her GED from Carlisle High School. She was a loving homemaker and had worked part-time at Uniformly Yours, formerly on the Trindle Rd., Carlisle. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Thelma enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Robert A. Cohick, one son, Robert A. "Rob" Cohick, II and his wife, Gail of Elizabethtown, two daughters; Cathy A. Mayberry and her husband, Duane and Cristen C. Barrick and her husband, Rickey, both of Newville, three grandchildren; Corey Heishman (and her husband, Doug), Bryn Barrick and Brady Barrick, two great-grandsons; Dalton and Clayton Heishman and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Mira Hewlett officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 noon until time of services at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made in Thelma's name to a charity of your choice.
