IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tammy M.
Myers
November 16, 1959 – October 21, 2019
Tammy Mummert Myers, 59, of Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 21, 2019 at her home. She had courageously overcome cancer not once, but twice. She lived devoted as a sister, a mother, a partner, and a friend to everyone she met. She was born on November 16, 1959 in Hanover and was a daughter of the late Charles Samuel Mummert and Helen Louise (Todt) Mummert.
Tammy was preceded in death by her son, Shane A. Myers who passed away in 2014. Tammy lived to keep Shane's memory alive and loved his countless friends who also tirelessly worked to keep his memory alive. She loved in life her partner, Glenn A. Adams, Jr. of Mt. Holly Springs, three sisters; Helen Failor (husband Harry), Joann Goodhart (husband Robert) and Christine Bretzman (husband Greg), numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Tammy loved to nurture and spend time with her numerous felines and canines. She loved to laugh, dine out and could never pass by a yard sale or flea market to search for a deal on her next rare find. She cherished laughing around Chic-Fil-A milkshakes with family as she shared jokes and memories. Everywhere she turned, Tammy offered empathy and compassion to those who needed it most. She loved her job at Belco Community Credit Union, where she reveled in helping people and improving their lives. Tammy graduated from Bermudian Springs High School in 1977.
Her love for life and dedication to those she adored left an impact more than can be described. To celebrate her life, funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until time of services.
