Obituary

Stanley V. Wright, 54, formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at his home in Shermans Dale. He was born on Tuesday, May 7, 1957, in Pretoria, South Africa, a son of the late Victor S. Wright and Violet C. (Wilmers) Wright Mack.

Stan graduated in 1976 from Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mt. Holly, NJ. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served nearly 14 years and attained the rank of Sergeant. He held many awards and recognitions for his military service. Stan then went to work for the PA Liquor Control Board, where he was a license tech clerk for 12 years. He was of Catholic faith and formerly attended services at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle. Stan was a member of Carlisle Eagles Aerie 1299.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia A. Garcia - Wright, one daughter, Jennifer Wright - Wey (and her husband, Bryan) of Browns Mills, NJ, one brother, Peter Wright of New Brunswick, NJ, one sister, Ethel Gervasi of Gulf Port, Miss., one grandson, David Wright,a nephew, Chris Wright of Philadelphiaand his step-father, Arthur Mack of Mt. Holly, NJ.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Andre J. Meluskey officiating. Viewing will be on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Burial with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
