Sophie M. Kosinski, 90, of Carlisle passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle.  She was born on March 31, 1932, in Enola and was a daughter of the late Edward Jauss and Mable (Royer) Jauss.

She is survived by her four daughters, Minnie (Buck) Bolen of Carlisle, Helen (Barry) Russell of Carlisle, Mary Ann (Butch) Shields of Shippensburg and Sandy (Edwin) Webster of Chambersburg, one sister Marybell of Harrisburg, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. William Harr was a companion for 24 years, who she loved with all her heart.

She was a devoted mother to her four daughters and worked many years and retired from the former Bedford Shoe Corporation in Carlisle.  Sophie also worked at a local canning company.  She loved to play Bingo at the Eagles on Friday nights and any place else that had Bingo.  She loved dancing and being around family.  Her girls and all of her grandchildren were her life.  She loved being around her grandchildren, they made her smile, and if you knew Mom, the grandchildren loved being around her even more.
