Shirley P. Fraker, 88, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community, Carlisle.  She was born on February 8, 1935, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Eber Barrick and Katherine (Thumma) Barrick.

Shirley was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family and home.  She was member of the Assembly of God Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years Melvin E. Fraker, one son Eber E. (wife Judy) Fraker of Newville, one daughter Kay P. (husband Timothy) Marpoe of Newville, four grandchildren, Jason and Craig Fraker, Chas Clouser and Michelle Gutshall and nine great-grandchildren.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Janice Bye officiating.  The burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  www.Since1853.com.
