Sherlene "Sherry" C. Clifford, 75, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Claremont Nursing Home, Carlisle. She was born on November 17, 1947, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Roger and Ruth (Taylor) Wisotzkey and the widow of James B. Clifford Jr. who passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019.

Sherry graduated from Carlisle High School.  She retired as an administrative assistant with the Carlisle Sentinel after 31 years of service.  She served as an election poll worker for Cumberland County, and Secretary of Carlisle Summerfair.  Sherry was a member of the Old Bellaire Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Yellow Breeches Chapter ABWA, and was a member of the Zembo Oriental Band Women's Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, Scott (wife, Stacy) Miller of Dillsburg and Douglas R. Clifford of Newville, one sister Sandra Hall of Goldsboro, NC, one daughter-in-law Tammy Marpoe of Carlisle and two grandsons, Derek and Brandon. She was preceded in death by one son, James B. Clifford, III.

A visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, followed by a memorial service at 11a.m. at Mountainview Christian Fellowship Church, 232 Kralltown Road, Dillsburg, PA with Pastor Sean Phifer officiating.  Family burial will be in Westminster Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Project Share food pantry in Carlisle.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
