Sharon Kay Deihl, 66, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at her home. She was born on October 24, 1951 in Shamokin and was a daughter of James L., Sr. and Shirley L. (Chaundy) Shumberger of Shippensburg.

Sharon graduated from Cumberland Valley High School in 1969. She retired in September 2017 from Novitas-Solutions in Mechanicsburg after 47 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Churchtown. Sharon enjoyed making crafts, knitting, crocheting and was a gifted card maker.

In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, Allen E. "Rocky" Deihl, two sons; Christopher Mixell of AZ and Mark Shaffer of PA, one brother, James Shumberger, Jr. of Boiling Springs, one sister, Sandra Shumberger of Carlisle and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 followed by funeral services at 2:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Barbara Servello officiating. Burial will be private.
