Sandra L. Hershey Banks of Carlisle, passed away on 8/2/2025 at the age of 86 years old.  She was the daughter of Harold Hershey and Dorothy Mentzer Hershey of Shippensburg.  She graduated from Shippensburg High School in 1956.  Predeceased by her daughter Kim and son Troy, sister Audry Hershey, sister Elaine Keener and brother-in-law Clarence Keener.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, William H. Banks III, son Lynn (Gina) Yeager, son Todd (Judy) Bauserman, grandchildren Nikki (Bryan) Petrone, Sarah (Ryan) Yeager, and Tyler (Jordyne) Bauserman, great grandson Theo Bauserman, and brother Harold "Sonny" (Sandy) Hershey.

She was a long-time member of the 2nd Presbyterian Church of Carlisle.  She worked at various factories and eventually retired from the Federal Government.  Sandy never met a stranger as she could strike up a conversation with anyone.  She exuded zest and love to all she encountered.  Her generosity was limitless, and her strength was unmatched.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and neighbors.  She also liked hunting for bargains and shopping for others.  She had a love of camping and often spent time with the group lovingly called the Golf Cart Mafia.  To say she will be missed is an understatement.  Her family feels blessed to have enjoyed her company for 86 years.  She lived life to the fullest.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Dr, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Jennifer McKenna officiating.  A time of fellowship will immediately follow the service in the church rotunda.  The burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.  Condolences may be left at www.EwingBrothers.com.
