Ruth retired from Amp, Inc., Carlisle after 20 years of service and had also worked for the former Piezo Crystal Co., Carlisle for 14 years. She earned her G.E.D. and was a member of the Reunion Fellowship Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 22 years, Harold A. Brenizer, two daughters; Teresa L. Dunkle and her husband, Clark of Carlisle and Lisa A. Beck and her husband, Edward of Carlisle, two step-daughters; Roxanne R. Kurkerdall of Carlisle and Raquel R. Wert of Newville, two sisters; Sara Smith of Mechanicsburg and Barbara Ocker of Carlisle, four grandchildren; Justin Rose, Evan Rose, Coby Beck and Angela Beck, four step-grandchildren; Shannon Tanberg, Jeremy Kurkerdall, Keith Sawdy and Tyler Wert, one step great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Naugle and two sisters; Mary Snyder and Hazel Farner.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Clark C. Dunkle officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Monroe Twp. A viewing will be on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
