Quinn and Carlie Earl Roberts. He attended George Washington Carver Elementary School and graduated from Mattie T. Blount High School in 1965. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church in Prichard, Alabama. In Carlisle, he affiliated with Bible Way Hibner Memorial Church where he found a community within his faith. Ross will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

During the Viet Nam conflict, Ross volunteered to serve his country by enlisting in the U.S. Army. He acquired experience as a Military Policeman and served tours in Korea and Carlisle Barracks. After separating from the Army, Ross worked for Pontiac Motors, Division of General Motors Corporation in Pontiac, Michigan. After a remarkable career working for several companies in Carlisle, he retired from Amazon Fulfillment Center. After retirement, he worked at Car Shows in New York, Pennsylvania and other states in the Northeast.

Ross had a passion for service and continued to serve and support the community as a member of American Legion Post 826 and 101. As a Legionnaire in post 826, he served as Commander, Vice Commander, Junior Vice Commander, Adjutant, and Chaplain. Early in his life, Ross was an avid softball player and participated in many tournaments while in Michigan. During his spare time he enjoyed watching Alabama Crimson Tide football, the Dallas Cowboys, shooting pool and spending time with his brotherhood at the American Legion.

Ross was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Freddie Quinn, Christine Alice Hodge, Monica Campbell and Jane Middaugh. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his children; Ross Marshall, Mobile, AL; Shawn Tippit, Harrisburg, PA; Jamonn Campbell, Tonya Crum, and Rick Davis, Carlisle, PA; and Shelly Palmer, Dillsburg, PA. He also leaves behind ex-wife Uronka Cole, two brothers Jimmie (Bettie) Varnado, Montgomery, AL and Ellis (Brenda) Varnado, Clermont, FL, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a devoted friend and companion Donnia Coleman.
