Obituary

Rosemary E. Moore died on September 24, 2018 at Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle. She was born in Reading on February 21, 1927 to Wellington G. and Eva C. (Seaman) Eberly. She was the widow of William F. Moore.

She is survived by her children; Susan (Dennis) Yeingst of Boiling Springs, and W. Scott (Anne) Moore of Winston-Salem, NC, daughter in-law, Barbi Moore of Cary, NC, sisters; Joyce O. Wenrich of Richmond, VA and Loretta M. Eberly of Lancaster, sister in-law, Bette (John) Eberly Hill of Silver Spring, MD, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry R. Moore, her grandson, Justin D. Moore, and her brothers; Byron, William, and Paul Eberly.

Rosemary retired from the US Army War College Department of National Security and Strategy where she worked with the presentation of the NSS week program. She had previously worked at Tressler Lutheran Services (Diakon), First Lutheran Church, and Carlisle Family Guidance Clinic.

A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Dr., Carlisle, PA on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Jeff Gibelius officiating. Please join with friends at a fellowship Gathering and Family Visitation before the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Her ashes will be interred with her family at Sinking Springs Cemetery, Berks County at the convenience of her family. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church or to the college/trade school education fund of a family or friend's child. www.Since1853.com.
