Rosemary E. Harrison, 81, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Chapel Pointe in Carlisle. She was born in Bristol, PA on December 2, 1944, to the late Richard Gross and Eva (Burkhardt) Gross. She was married to her loving husband of forty-two years, George E. Harrison.
Rose graduated from Delhaas High School in Bristol, PA. She worked as a word processor for several legal firms. Rose was an expert baker and cake decorator. She was active in spinning, weaving and knitting circles. Rose was invited for one year to be an expert commentator with the Pennsylvania Cable Network on the annual Sheep to Shawl Contest at the PA Farm Show.
In addition to her husband, Rose is survived by three daughters, Ruth Snyder of Somerset, NJ, Evelyn Ellison of Mesa, AZ and Edith Ellison of Hamilton, NJ, one son Albert Harrison of Columbia, SC, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Gross.
There will be a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St. in Carlisle with a time of visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Steve Motter will be officiating. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
