IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald G.
Mangan
August 10, 1946 – June 19, 2025
Ron Mangan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 19, 2025. Born in Scranton, PA, on August 10, 1946, Ron was the son of the late Gerard and Dolores (Vought) Mangan.
A graduate of Abington Heights High School in Clarks Summit, PA, Ron went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After earning his degree, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he achieved the rank of Captain.
In 1974, Ron established his dental practice in Carlisle, where he served his community with dedication for 46 years. Ron was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Carlisle and enjoyed supporting his sons' academic, athletic, and musical endeavors.
Ron had a love for flying his Cessna, cherished beachside moments with family, and, most of all, treasured his role as a devoted husband, father, and "Papa." His commitment to his family was unwavering.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol (Rees) Mangan, and his sons: Michael (Trisha) of Kennett Square, PA; Paul (Kristin) of Pipersville, PA; and Patrick (Maria) of San Antonio, Texas. He was a proud grandfather to Connor, Abigail, Liam, Maddy, Quinn, Anna, and Dennis. Ron is also survived by his brother, Dennis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him dearly.
Ron's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to others will remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) at give2chop.edu in memory of Ron Mangan. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 28th, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA 17015, with the Reverend John MacFarlane officiating. Cumberland County Honor Guard will perform military honors following the service. Visitation will precede the service by one hour. www.EwingBrothers.com
