Obituary

Ronald C. "Rebel" Ewart, 79, of Newville, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at ManorCare Health Services, Carlisle.  He was born on February 20, 1940 in Carmichaels, PA and was a son of the late Daniel C. Ewart and Delores (Morgan) Ewart.

Rebel retired from Funks well drilling after 17 years of service and was a welder on the USS Enterprise in Virginia in earlier years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars in his garage.  Rebel was a life member at the Big Spring Fish and Game, Newville, Minnequa Club, Shippensburg, the Carlisle AmVets and a member of the Sons of American Legion.

He is survived by his children; Deborah (husband, Dave) Blake of VA, Darlene (husband, Stuart) Londeree of VA, Christopher Ewart of FL and Diana (husband, David) Carter of FL, several brothers and sisters, 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

An inurnment service will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Westminster Memorial Gardens Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, 1159 Newville Rd., Carlisle with Pastor Dick Reese officiating.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is handling the arrangements.  www.Since1853.com.
