Our loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend Robin R. Whitcomb, 63, of Mechanicsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 21, 2026. She was born on March 9, 1963, in Charleston, WV and was a daughter of the late Robert P. Rickard and Katherine B. (Lanham) Rickard. She was married to Scott S. Whitcomb for 26 years.

Robin graduated from Carlisle High School in 1981. She was a devoted homemaker and later earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Harrisburg Area Community College. Robin was a dialysis nurse with the local UPMC network of healthcare facilities. She thrived being a nurse as she was best known for her caring, selfless nature and commitment to helping others. Her resilience, love of life, and passion for her children will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her three beloved children, Madison, Spencer and Danah Whitcomb, all of Mechanicsburg, her siblings, Robert (Jean) Rickard, Margaret “Beth” (Elwood) Anderson, Rourk Rickard and Heather (Scott) Ilgenfritz and several nieces and nephews.
