Robert C. Wetzel, 92, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Church of God Home, Carlisle.  He was born on November 14, 1930, in Carlisle and was a son of the late David C. and Aletha P. (Karns) Wetzel.  Bob was married to the late Annabelle M. (Snyder) Wetzel who passed away on July 6, 2023.

Bob was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.  He was a mason and had worked for Murtorff Construction in Carlisle for 23 years and was a former employee of Penn Central Masonry.  Bob was a member of The Brethren In Christ Church (The Meeting House Church), Carlisle, and the American Legion Post 109 in Mechanicsburg.

He is survived by two brothers, Glenn Wetzel of Plainfield and Kenneth Wetzel of Carlisle, two sisters, Dorothy Lamason of Carlisle and Marjorie Haus of Carlisle and many nieces and nephews.  Bob was preceded in death by one brother Marlin Wetzel and one sister Jean Finkenbinder.

A viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at The Meeting House Church, 1155 Walnut Bottom Rd., Carlisle, PA 17015 with Pastor Bob Verno and Pastor Ken Hoke officiating.  The burial with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.  Memorial contributions may be made to his church.  Visit www.EwingBrothers.com to send condolences.
