Robert D. Stout, 73, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, at UPMC Carlisle. He was born on June 19, 1949, in McKeesport and was a son of the late William H. Stout, Sr. and Beatrice R. (Tewell) Stout.
Robert graduated from Glassport High School and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member and Past Master of the Stephen Bayard Lodge #526 of Elizabeth, PA. He worked as a retail sales manager for department stores.
Bob enjoyed fishing, golfing, listening to the oldies, playing cards, puzzle books, telling jokes, watching old game shows and spending time with family. He loved watching sports especially his granddaughter Kayla during her high school and college fast-pitch softball career. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan who watched every game. He attended the last game held at Three Rivers Stadium in which the Steelers won. Bob enjoyed setting up his train set and village at Christmas time for his grandchildren to enjoy.
He is survived by his wife Doris E. (Fernbaugh) Stout, stepchildren, Michelle Ryan, Michael Ryan, Denise Ryan and Rebecca (Ryan) Jones. He was preceded in death by his stepson Douglas Ryan.
He was a loving Pap to his grandchildren Kodie, Tasha, Brandon, Kayla, Kyle, Cassidy, Brianna "Molly", Cole, and Tabitha. As well as his great-grandchildren Taylynn, Kane, Reese, Lilli, Parker, Tru, and Hunter.
He is also survived by his brother Richard Stout of West Mifflin, a son Robert W. Stout of White Oaks, a daughter Kelly Schroder of Port View, and grandchildren Emme, Anthony and Adam. He was preceded in death by his siblings, William Stout, Thelma Tomedolsky and Carol Hrezo.
