Robert Lee "Stoney" Mentzer, 57, of Carlisle, died on Monday, July 20, 2015 at home. He was born on March 27, 1958 in Carlisle and is a son of Alice I. (McAlister) Gutshall and Charles L. Gutshall of Carlisle.

Stoney had worked for the former Light Styles in Carlisle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles with his brothers, NASCAR #88, the Philadelphia Eagles and spending time at Raystown Lake with his friends and family. Stoney was a social member of the Newville V.F.W.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons; Robert Lee Mentzer of New Bloomfield and Ryan Lee Mentzer of Newville, one daughter, Rebecca Keim of Annville, three sisters; Cindy J. Smith of Shermansdale, Dee M. Pierce of Marysville and Robin Gutshall Stouffer of Gastonia, NC, two brothers; Mike L. Gutshall and Rick L. Gutshall, both of Newville, four grandchildren; Robert L. Mentzer, Jr., Renee L. Mentzer, Roscoe L. Mentzer and Casey Keim and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015 followed by funeral services at 7:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Jack Roth officiating. Interment will be private.
