Robert L. Jones, 58, of Carlisle, passed to eternal life on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at his parent's home after a four year battle with A.L.S. He was born on September 25, 1954, in Carlisle, the son of Rev. Harold G. Jones and Rosanna G. (Hockley) Jones of Carlisle.

Robert was a 1974 graduate of Big Spring High School, Newville. He attended the Victory Tabernacle, Carlisle. Robert had worked in the restaurant business for 38 years and was last employed for over 10 years with Bob Evans Restaurant, Carlisle. Robert enjoyed all sports.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by one sister, Shirley A. Green (and her daughter, Rebecca) of Depford, NJ and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at 11 AM in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Leroy Eberly officiating. Burial will follow in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of services at the funeral home.
