Obituary

Robert B. Brymesser, 82, of Carlisle, passed to eternal life on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at home with his devoted wife by his side. He was born on May 18, 1931, in Carlisle, a son of the late Webster and Mary Brymesser.

Bob attended Carlisle schools and was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War, where he served as a Machinist Mate Third Class onboard the USS Lindenwald and the USS Vulcan. Bob was formerly employed at Frog Switch Manufacturing, Carlisle and for 12 years with Valk Manufacturing in New Kingstown. He attended Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church. Bob was a racing enthusiast and had raced his cars at Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedways and also at the former Silver Spring Speedway, Mechanicsburg. He was a life member of the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing, York Springs. Bob also built and flew radio controlled airplanes.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margy Ann (Stone) Brymesser, one son, William W. (wife, Marcy) Brymesser of Mechanicsburg, two grandsons; Nathan Brymesser and Dalton Bear, one niece, Tammy Bear, several step-brothers and step-sisters and his beloved dog, Zoey.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Scott Hallman officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A viewing will be on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
