Rita M. Mason, 91, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019.  She was a resident of the Cumberland Crossing Retirement Community, Carlisle. She was born on March 22, 1928 in Tremont, PA and was a daughter of the late Joseph T. Williams and Verna (Boltz) Williams.

Rita was a 1946 graduate of South Williamsport High School.  She was a homemaker, a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in South Williamsport, and a member of the Ivanhoe Eastern Star Lodge 28 of Williamsport.

She is survived by three sons; Rev. George F. (wife, Rev. Ardelle) Mason, Jr. of Shanksville, Joseph C. (wife, Linda) Mason of Williamsport, MD and Thomas L. (wife, Diane) Mason of Mechanicsburg, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She is also survived by one brother Edward Williams of Anderson, IN and a special niece Charlene (husband Jack) Mason Houghton, Great Barrington, MA.  She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, George F. Mason in 2017 and 3 brothers; Charles, Russell and Richard Williams.

A viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with The Rev.
