Obituary

Richard L. "Dick" Hollenbaugh, 83, of Carlisle, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at UPMC-Carlisle.  He was born on December 1, 1935 in Carlisle and was a son of the late Roy and Stella (Anthony) Hollenbaugh.  He was married to the late S. Marie (Hoffman) Hollenbaugh who died on April 3, 2009.

Dick served in the US Army from 1958 to 1960.  He was an automobile mechanic all of his life and owned and operated "Dick's Garage on the Trindle Road, Carlisle for many years.  He attended Good News Church, Mechanicsburg and was a member of Eagles Aerie 1299 in Carlisle, enjoyed hunting and riding 4-wheelers.  Dick also owned several race cars that ran at the former Silver Springs Speedway.

He is survived by two sons; Steven Hollenbaugh and Randy Hollenbaugh both of Carlisle, two brothers; Walter Morrison and Jack Hollenbaugh both of Carlisle, one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by one sister, Shirley, one brother, Russell Morrison and two grandsons; Steven V. Hollenbaugh and Steven Hollenbaugh, Jr.

A visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 followed by a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. in the Good News Church, 124 State Rd., Mechanicsburg with Pastors Al Sones and Deryl Reinhold officiating.  Burial will be private.  Visit www.EwingBrothers.com to send condolences.
