Renee L. Rhoads, 33, of Newville, passed away with her loving parents by her side on Thursday, February 18, 2010, in the Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg. She was born on Tuesday, June 1, 1976, in Hershey, and is the daughter of Roy W. and Ruby J. (Shughart) Rhoads of Newville and with whom she lived.

Renee was a 1994 graduate of Big Spring High School in Newville, and in 2000, she received her Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the Albany College of Pharmacy in Albany, New York. She was a registered pharmacist in Pennsylvania and Virginia and was currently employed with Quality Care Pharmacy, Carlisle and the Holly Pharmacy in Mt. Holly Springs. Renee was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Walnut Bottom and the American Pharmacists Association. Renee enjoyed reading, always thought of others first, and cherished the times of joy with her family and friends.

In addition to her Mother and Father, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Dorris (Richwine) Rhoads of Carlisle, her maternal grandmother, M. Lucille (Ulsh) Shughart of Newville and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She also loved and enjoyed her feline and canine companions; Harly and Manny.

Services to celebrate Renee's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2010, in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 118 W. Main St., Walnut Bottom with Rev. Dr. Karl R. Herman officiating. Burial will immediately follow the services in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the services. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements.
