Randall D. "Randy" Runkle, 62, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle. He was born on August 22, 1955 in Auburn, PA and is the son of Dale Runkle of Auburn and the late Jean (Bailey) Runkle.

Randy was a 1973 graduate of Blue Mountain High School in Schuylkill Haven, and earned his bachelor's degree from Kutztown University in 1977. For the past 15 years Randy was the business manager for Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Carlisle. Randy had worked 20 years at the former Berkshire Insulation Co. in Reading. He was a member of the Eagles and White Circle Club, both of Carlisle. Randy enjoyed cruises, traveling, reading, taking care of his home, and was formerly active in Sprint Car Racing. Randy was of Lutheran faith and was a former church organist and choir director for several churches in Schuylkill County for 30 years.

In addition to his father, he is survived by James E. Baish of Carlisle and many friends.

A viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev.Barbara Albertofficiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
