Mr. Ralph E. Reeder, 80, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at home with family by his side. He was born on July 31, 1938 in Carlisle and was a son of the late Dean M. and Thelma P. (Shughart) Reeder.

Ralph retired as highway line painter after 31 years of service with PennDot and then worked for the former Peterman Power Equipment in Carlisle. Ralph was a member of Walnut Bottom Rod & Gun Club, N.R.A. and A.A.R.P. He enjoyed taking care of his home and family, fishing in the Rehoboth Bayand hunting.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Doris J. (Seburn) Reeder, two daughters; Linda A. (husband, Joel) Hostetter and Lisa M. (husband, Tracy) Barrick, both of Newville, one brother, Robert L. Reeder of Boiling Springs, three grandchildren; Heather Nenninger, Joel Hostetter, II and Ashley Hosfelt, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Kay Jones.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Chaplain Ed Rabenstein officiating. Burial will be in LeTort Cemetery, Middlesex Twp.
