IN LOVING MEMORY OF
R. Scott
Eppley
March 21, 1955 – December 6, 2025
R. Scott Eppley, 70, of Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. He was born on March 21, 1955, in Carlisle and was a son of the late J. Donald Eppley and Catherine (Fox) Eppley.
Scott graduated from Carlisle High School in 1974 and earned his associate degree in industrial maintenance at Harrisburg Area Community College. He was a hard-working laborer his whole life and retired from Ahlstrom Filtration. Scott was a member of the Sons of the American Legion at Mt. Holly Springs American Legion Post. In addition to being a great coach to his kids' many sporting endeavors throughout the years, he was also a proud Eagle Scout and Scoutmaster. Scott was also a huge Redskins fan and would often talk about watching their spring training in Carlisle when he was younger.
He is survived by the love of his life and devoted wife of nearly 50 years (Dec. 20, 1975) Beth Ann (Harbach) Eppley, two sons, Robert Eppley (Alexandra Goodson) and Conor Eppley, one daughter Tara Eppley (Kuan Sanchez), sisters-in-law, Sandra Eppley, Nora Eppley and Jody Smith, one brother-in-law Douglas Harbach, four grandchildren who called him Pop-pop, Ethan Eppley, Vincent Eppley, Vivian Eppley and Bianca Sanchez, and several nieces and nephews, including Christopher Warrick who was like another son to him. He was predeceased by two brothers, J. Donald Eppley, Jr. and John Eppley.
A visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, followed by a memorial service led by Douglas Harbach at 3:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S.
