Phyllis M. Walker, 93 of Carlisle, died on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at UPMC Carlisle.  She was born on February 13, 1929, in Carlisle, and was a daughter of the late Brice Stewart Walker and the late Effie Viola (Souders) Walker.

Phyllis retired from Carlisle Tire and Rubber after many years of service and previously worked at Carlisle Shoe Corp for 18 years.  She enjoyed traveling and playing Bingo.  Phyllis was a member of the Carlisle Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and formerly attended church services at the Carlisle Salvation Army.

She is survived by two grandsons, Nathan A. (Debra) Walker of Middletown and Jared A. Walker of New Cumberland and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by one son James E. Walker, five brothers, Paul Walker, Glenn "Chub" Walker, Jay Walker, Max Walker, and Donald Walker and one sister Vada Melhorn.

A viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Jake Waybright as the officiant.  Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. www.EwingBrothers.com.
