Pauline E. "Polly" Wise, 88, of Carlisle, passed away on August 7, 2020 at Chapel Pointe. She was born March 25, 1932 and was the widow of Ronald Wise who died in 1998. She is survived by a son Michael of Carlisle, his wife Susan, and a daughter Terry and wife Beth Shank who live in Mechanicsburg Polly had two grandsons, Bryan (and wife Liezel) and Jeremy. Additionally, she had great grandchildren Jessica and Zachary (from Bryan) and Calyb and Logyn (from Jeremy).

She was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Rachel Noll, brother Robert Noll and wife Esther, and sister Dorothy Stambaugh and husband Jim. Also surviving are nieces Jody Gilbert, Susan Sherman, and Pat Alleman, as well as nephew Bill Stambaugh, and her favorite cousin Ginny Shriver.

Polly excelled in the kitchen and loved cooking for her family and friends, she even cooked professionally for Thornwald Nursing Home. Previously, she was proprietor of the Polly-Ron Beauty Salon for over twenty years. Also dear to her was playing cards with family and friends (of which she had many).

She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren enjoying many holiday celebrations with them all. She was a long-time member of Waggoner's United Methodist Church.

A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Chaplain Linda Slusser officiating.  Burial will be private in Elliottsburg Cemetery. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Chapel Pointe for the love and care provided to Polly over the past 16 months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or to Chapel Pointe at Carlisle.
