Obituary

An accomplished area beef farmer, Paul Charles Weber, 64, of Newville, Pennsylvania, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at UPMC Carlisle. He was born in Trenton, New Jersey in 1961 to Charles M. Weber and Dolores (Little) Weber.

Paul grew up in Yardley, Pa. where he attended St. Ignatius Catholic School. During high school, he worked as a farm hand in nearby Newtown for Dave Walton. It's there that he met Dave's cousin, Barbara Rowe. Family legend has it that she walked into the barn and Paul tripped into the gutter, stunned by her beauty! After an extended but successful courtship, the pair later married at St. Ignatius Church in 1987.

After graduating from Bishop Egan High School in Fairless Hills, Pa., Paul attended the Hazelton campus of Penn State for a year before transferring to Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, Pa. where he studied agri-business for one semester.

To earn the means to achieve his dream of buying a farm of his own, he began work as an apprentice for Newtown, Pa.-based Shanahan Plumbing and quickly progressed to journeyman. Before he could earn his master plumber license, he joined Mechanicburg-based Eichelbergers, Inc. in 1992. Beginning as a helper, it wasn't long before he was promoted to a project manager, a position he held until his death.

After Paul and Barbara married, they built their first house outside Doylestown in 1988 to which their brought their first two children, Robert and Clayton. Their youngest son, Joseph, was born after the family moved in 1992 to a farm outside Carlisle where they raised pigs for Hershey Ag as well as a small herd of beef cattle. They purchased their current farm in rural Newville in 2005 and finished building the farmhouse the following year.

In his rare free time, Paul enjoyed being outdoors – canoeing, camping and cycling. A Boy Scout himself as a kid, he volunteered for many years with the local Scout troop as well as  4-H and FFA. Everyone knew him as a devoted supporter of his family and friends who loved spending time with his 7 grandchildren. His children call him "the hardest working person ever and Mom's rock."

Paul is survived by Barbara, his wife of 39 years; sons Robert (Kerri),Clayton (Rachel), and Joe (Natasha) Weber; Grandchildren Eva, Nora and Natalyn; James, Andrew and Luke; Marla Mae; siblings Barbara Lyon, Ann (Anthony) Masullo, Joan (Gerald), and Leslie (William) Flick; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Dolores Weber, grandparents Miriam Little, Maurice and Emily Weber.
