Paul L Myers, 91, of Carlisle, died on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle. He was born on February 5, 1926 in West Pennsboro Twp. and was the son of the late Clarence and Dessie R. (Clay) Myers. He was married for 67 years to Violet Dorothy (Dell) Myers, who passed away on December 27, 2017.

Paul was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He retired after 41 years of service as a warehouse foreman with the former Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot. He was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church.

He is survived by one son, Robert (wife, Susan) Myers of Carlisle; two granddaughters; Brittani Shearer of Shiremanstown and Kimberly Lewis of King George, VA; one son-in-law, Steven Shearer of Shiremanstown and one great-granddaughter, Madeline Lewis. Paul was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Shearer and one grandson, Ryan Shearer.

A viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2018 followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Mira Hewlett officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to his church at 45 S.
