Graham
August 9, 1935 – August 4, 2025
Paul Nelson Graham, 89, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at his home with family by his side. He was born on August 9, 1935, in Butler, PA and was a son of the late Claire L. Graham and Minta J. (Williams) Graham.
Paul graduated from Butler High School in 1953 and shortly after enlisted in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1957 and began working for Peoples Telephone Co. on January 2, 1958. Paul moved to Carlisle in 1978 and began working for Sprint Telephone Co. and retired as a service manager in September 1997. Paul was a life member of Carlisle Fish & Game Assoc., and member and Past Commander of the American Legion Post 101, Carlisle. Paul was also a member of the Central PA Telecommunications Pioneers, worked as a volunteer with Project Share and as an advisor for 11 years with the Junior Achievement Club at Butler High School. He was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle, St. John's Lodge #260 F. & A. M., and the Carlisle Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Janet Eileen (Doutt) Graham, two sons, Douglas (wife Crystal) Graham of Carlisle and Jeffrey P. Graham of Maryland, three granddaughters, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Clyde Graham and two sisters, Marion Murray and Carol Haney.
The interment service will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA with military honors. Pastor Ed Rabenstein will be the officiant. Memorial contributions may be made to Project Share, 5 N. Orange St., Carlisle or to Residential Hospice, 100 Sterling Pkwy #110, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. www.EwingBrothers.com.
