Patricia A. Cunningham, 88, of Carlisle, died on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at The Residents at Fitz Farm in York.  She was born on June 21, 1935, in Jersey City, NJ and was a daughter of the late William M. Burns and Marie Anna (Doege) Burns.  She was the widow of John A. Cunningham, Sr. who died on March 4, 2017.

Pat worked in the transportation industry with her late husband for many years.  She is a member of Newville Assembly of God.  Pat was an excellent cook, enjoyed baking and was known for making "candy apples" in the old neighborhood.  Pat made holidays extra special and so much fun.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah L. (husband John) Dick of York and Kathleen L. (husband William) Bailone of New Freedom, two sons, John A. Cunningham, Jr. of Helmville, MT and David W. Cunningham of Glenrock, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Linda Stavola of Baltimore and Connie Steinhoff of Stewartstown and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by one grandson David Nolan and two sisters, Joanne Evans and Judy Burns.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Jeffrey Kettering officiating.  The burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  Viewings will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.  Visit www.Since1853.com to send condolences.
