Patricia S. Carpenter, 68, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born on Wednesday, July 7, 1943, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late John and Alberta (Anthony) Weigle.

Pat worked for nearly 30 years with the former G. S. Electric Co., Carlisle. Pat enjoyed traveling, going to the beach and visiting Las Vegas.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Barton S. "Bart" Carpenter, one son, John B. Carpenter of Hopewell and several nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Baker.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Ed Alwine officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
