Patricia E. Brown, 81, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015, in the Church of God Home in Carlisle. She was born on May 12, 1933, in York Springs, a daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Harlacher) Fair, and was the widow of Ernest F. Brown, who died on June 18, 1993.

Patricia graduated from the former York Springs High School and attended Juniata College. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Patricia enjoyed being a part of the Women's Prayer Shawl group. Pat enjoyed being a homemaker and had formerly worked for J. C. Penney in Chambersburg.

She is survived by sons; David F. (Marla) Brown of Carlisle and Michael E. (Yvette) Brown of New Oxford, two daughters; Susan E. (Neil) Leidy of Carlisle and Debra A. (Rusty) Olson of Enola, one brother, John Fair of Gettysburg and one sister, Sarah Gembe of York Springs and 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will begin at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 8, 2015, followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 647 Forge Rd, Carlisle, with Rev. Daniel Dennis officiating. Burial will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery in York Springs. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church.
