Pastor Robert F. Myers, Sr., 83 of Carlisle, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2019 at UPMC-West Shore Hospital.  He was born on June 19, 1935 in Philipsburg and was a son of the late Lemuel and Anna (Jones) Myers.  Bob was married for nearly 63 years to the late Gloria A. (Wilkinson) Myers, who died on Dec. 29, 2018.

Pastor Myers served in the ministry for 42 years and ministered for 33 years at the Carlisle Church of God.  Bob enjoyed golfing.

He is survived by two sons; Robert F. Myers, Jr. and Gregory A. (wife, Mary) Myers, two daughters; Patty A. (husband, Scott) Klinger and Sandra L. (husband, Wendell) Whisner, one sister, Mary Lou Socash, five grandchildren; Michelle Cotton, Greg Myers, Jr., Justin Whisner, Ashley Yingling and Jonathan Klinger and three great-grandchildren.  Bob was predeceased by one daughter, Cheryl A. Henry, one granddaughter, Karen Myers and one sister, Grace Webster.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Carlisle Church of God, 458 N. College St., Carlisle with Pastor Dean Ramsey officiating.  Burial will be private in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Carlisle Church of God.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is handling the arrangements.  To send condolences please visit www.Since1853.com.
