Owen Edward "Ed" Jenkins, Jr., 76, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 in UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle. He was born on February 21, 1941 in Cromwell Twp., Huntingdon County, and was a son of the late Owen E. Jenkins, Sr. and Clara (Whitsel) Jenkins.

Ed retired from Ross Distribution and had worked many years with the former Kinney Shoe Corp., both of Carlisle. He enjoyed working, gardening, fishing and his family.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Goldie E. (Gamble) Jenkins, two sons; Rodney L. Jenkins and Randy E. Jenkins, both of Carlisle, two daughters; Elizabeth A. Jenkins of Camp Hill and Sherry D. (husband, John, Sr.) Russell of Harrisburg, two sisters; Natha Latshaw of Waynesboro and Sue Jenkins of Shirleysburg, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Jenkins.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 followed by funeral services at 11:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St, Carlisle. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Newville. Visit www.Since1853.com to send condolences.
