Orville M. "Butch" Martin, 79, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle.  He was born on October 15, 1944, in Shippensburg and was a son of the late Orville R. Martin and Mildred (Foltz) Martin.

Butch graduated from Shippensburg High School in 1962.  He owned and operated Martins' Exxon on the Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle for several years and retired from Pennsylvania Department or Transportation after many years of service.  Butch attended Carlisle First Church of God and was a member of Hub City in Shippensburg.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years Patricia A. (Richcreek) Martin, two sisters, Barbara Martin and Sandy Santos both of Maryland, one brother Dave Martin of Florida, one niece and two nephews.
