Obituary

Norman E. Hutchison, 67, of New Kingstown, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born Friday, June 30, 1944, in Harrisburg, a son of the late Earl and Margaret (Keefer) Hutchison.

Norm had worked for 15 years for the Frog, Switch Manufacturing Co., Carlisle and had most recently worked for the York Springs Auto Auction. He was an avid hunter and also enjoyed fishing and camping. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Constance M. (Fisher) Hutchison, one son, Kevin E. (and his wife, Dawn) Hutchison of Carlisle, two daughters; Dori A. (and her husband, Bob) Bloser of Enola and Edwina M. (and her husband, Andy) Rodriguez of New Kingstown, two brothers; James Hutchison of Middletown and Robert Hutchison of North Pole, Alaska, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Norm was preceded in death by sisters; Adella Burger and Shirley Strickler.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Jon Black officiating. Viewing will be on Thursday from 1:30 p.m. until time of the services. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 103, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

"Ed" Was a great father, and loved his family very much........i will miss hunting and fishing with him..... take care my good friend.... And his family that are grieving will find comfort in knowing that Ed brought joy into the lives of others while they were alive.....
