Norma I. Grove, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on July 30, 1937, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Harold and Myrtle (Evelhoch) Goodhart.  She was the widow of William H. Grove who passed away on September 1, 2019.

Norma graduated from Carlisle High School.  She was known to all as an exceptionally kind and gentle person. She never spoke poorly of anyone and was often heard describing others as "so dear," a reflection of the way she lived her life. She spent many years devotedly caring for her husband Bill with quiet strength and selflessness.

She enjoyed baking, made the best homemade jelly, and loved music and dancing with Bill. A devoted Penn State football fan, she rarely missed a game and was known for keeping a roster with her so she could follow the players on the field. Family was always at the center of her world, and she especially treasured time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Well into her later years, Norma remained active and enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends, including trips to Florida. She loved the Lord with all her heart.

She is survived by two sons, Lonney (Patti) Grove and Doug (Darice) Grove, two grandchildren, Holly (Grove) Beshore husband Kurt and Jake Grove wife Ashley, four great-grandchildren, Archer, Kennedy, Marlee, and Shiloh, two sisters, Pat Negley and Lolita Shenk and one brother Bill Goodhart.  She was preceded in death by one sister Mary Jones and one brother Tom Goodhart.

A viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Greg Hench officiating.  The burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corps League Det 524, P.O.
