He loved God, his family and the Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Gard Baird.
Surviving are his son, Niven James Baird, Jr., and his life partner, Maria L. Jose, of Wimberley, Texas, his son, Robert Bruce Baird, and his daughter, Lindsay Dare Baird, both of Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Final arrangements will be handled by Ewing Brothers Funeral Home.
Final services will be done privately by the family.
