Neil had owned and operated the former Indian Tavern in Carlisle. He enjoyed cooking and had also worked for several other Carlisle area restaurants.

He is survived by one son, Walter John Woods of Freehold, NJ, two granddaughters; Chelsea and Kaitlyn Woods, three brothers; Harry Woods of Mechanicsburg, Fred Woods of East Prospect and Glen Woods of Columbia, two sisters; Nell Royer and Blanche "Ginny" Wimer of Carlisle and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Starlene V. Woods and one brother, June Woods.

The family will hold private services at the Carlisle First Church of the Brethren, 1340 Forge Rd., Carlisle. Burial will be private. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements. www.Since1853.com.
