Nancy W. Miller, 92, of West Chester and formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 in the Pocopson Home in West Chester. She was born on August 26, 1924 in Manheim, and was a daughter of the late Harry and Kathryn (Givler) Witmer. Nancy was the widow of Lee R. Miller, who died January 5, 2009.

Nancy graduated Manheim High School with the Class of 1942. She had worked for the former Reeves-Hoffman Co. and retired from Carlisle Tire & Rubber Co. after 20 years in the accounting department. Nancy was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlisle. She was active in Girl Scouts and was a Cub Scout leader. Nancy enjoyed traveling, attending antique car shows with her late husband, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved playing cards and games.

She is survived by one son, Thomas (wife, Joyce) Miller of Mt. Juliet, TN, two daughters; Kathleen Miller of Brooklyn, NY and Rebecca (husband, Jeffrey) Johnson of West Chester, two sisters; Georgie Shank and Lorraine Hilleman, three grandchildren; Jessica (husband, Brian) Rankosky, David (wife, Nicolle) Johnson and Kimberly Johnson and two great-grandchildren; Benjamin and Emily Rankosky. She was predeceased by one brother, Richard Witmer.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 E. High St, Carlisle, with Rev. Lisa Leber officiating. A visitation and luncheon will be held at the church following the service. Burial will be private at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
